Laif McLoughlin

Founding Director

Laif is a mining executive with seventeen years in mining and infrastructure development, covering approvals, tenure, investment cases and governance. He is a former Managing Director and Executive Chairman of ASX-listed Strategic Minerals Corporation, and a former General Manager at QCoal Group, a major privately owned coal producer.

At Fission Ridge he leads corporate, finance, tenure and stakeholder engagement.

Trevor Wright

MSc, MAIG

Director and Technical Lead

Trevor is an exploration geologist and CEO of private explorer Lakeside Minerals, with a career in project generation and exploration management. He has more than 25 years’ experience across Australia, New Zealand, the USA, Kazakhstan and the South West Pacific, including uranium and copper-gold exploration.

He generated the Fission Ridge targets and leads target definition and technical direction.

Michael Sexton

BAppSc

Geophysics

Mike is a consultant geophysicist with more than 45 years in exploration and hydrogeological geophysics. He is a former Chief Geophysicist at Normandy Mining, and has also worked with Anaconda, Newmont and Newcrest.

He leads geophysical interpretation, survey design and target ranking across radiometrics, gravity, magnetics and electrical methods.

Jess Oram

Exploration Geologist

Experienced exploration geologist with over 30 years’ practice in mineral exploration and management across a variety of commodities, companies and countries with a deep understanding of South Australia Uranium exploration.
